Trishaw cycle rides for the elderly

International Cycling Without Age network

Cycling Without Age is a not-for-profit charity that provides a community service by connecting those no longer able to ride for themselves with their community and the outdoors by giving them free rides on trishaw ebikes, piloted by volunteer cyclists.

We bought an electric-assist 'trioBike taxi' and donated it to Pedal Power ACT

Ride the ‘a couch on wheels’ taking the residents out and about.

For many years our trishaw took aged residents on the southside for rides as part of the Cycling Without Age program.

In mid-2025 we donated our trishaw to Pedal Power ACT to be included with their other tri-shaws in their Cycling Without Age program in Canberra.

We believe that everyone should have access to the freedom and joy of cycling, regardless of their age and ability.

That’s why Murrumbidgee Canberra Rotary partnered with the local community and provided trishaw rides to people living in aged care before donating the tri-shaw to Pedal Power ACT.

Cycling Without Age trishaw rides are part of a global volunteer movement driven by the motivation to give elderly people the right to wind in their hair.
